Why Should I Book a Trial Run?
A trial run offers the opportunity for us to connect and collaborate on finding the perfect look for your big day. It allows us to explore different styles, ensuring that you feel confident and beautiful when the time comes. Plus, it’s a great chance to discuss your vision in detail and make any adjustments before your wedding!
When Should I Schedule My Trial Run?
I typically recommend having your trial run 4 to 8 weeks before your wedding date.
How Much Time Should I Allocate for My Trial Run?
I suggest setting aside 2.5 hours for a hair and makeup trial, or 1.5 hours for either hair or makeup trials.
How Much Time Should I Allocate for My Wedding?
For weddings, hair and makeup I like to allocate 2 hours. For hair or makeup, 1 hour. Bridal party members or others should expect 1.5 hours for hair and makeup or 45 minutes for hair or makeup.
What Can I Expect During a Trial Run?
In the first half hour, I’ll take the time to get to know you. I love to see pictures of your dress or outfit and review inspiration images to discuss the look you envision for your big day.
How Should I Prepare for My Trial and Wedding Day?
Please come with clean, dry hair. You can wash and dry it the night before or the morning of. I recommend wearing a button-down or zip-up shirt. If you have any hairpieces or a veil, please bring them along so we can incorporate them. Arriving with a clean, moisturized face is essential, and it would be helpful to share photos of how you usually wear your makeup.
How Many Clients Can You Manage on Your Own?
The number of services I can provide depends on your wedding's timing. Generally, I can handle 4 to 8 services (with hair and makeup counted separately). If needed, I can arrange for an assistant for an additional fee.
Can You Stay for Touch-Ups During the Wedding?
Yes, I can stay for touch-ups, but there is an additional hourly charge. A discounted rate applies if I am needed for the entire day or evening.
How Far Do You Travel?
My pricing includes a 30-mile round trip from my studio in Idaho Falls, Idaho. For any distance beyond that, I charge $1 per mile. If travel exceeds two hours each way, hotel accommodations will be required. Also willing to travel.
What Makeup Brands Do You Use?
I work with a variety of makeup brands, including RCMA, MAC, Viseart, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Eyemimo, and Smashbox. For hair, I use products from Kenra, Rusk, and Big Sexy Hair.
